However, the domain demands specialized solutions rather than general-purpose AI tools. Category Ventures is backing Myriad, a startup developing AI agents designed to monitor, interpret, and automate compliance processes in regulated industries, beginning with financial services. The platform ingests regulatory updates and translates them into organization-specific directives that AI agents can execute dependably, establishing "a new model of compliance: proactive, automated, and scalable."

Myriad’s founding team comprises Ralf and Jan, who met during graduate studies at Georgia Tech. Ralf holds a doctorate in AI with leadership experience at Google X and BMW, plus prior entrepreneurial experience. Jan brings over a decade of infrastructure expertise from Airbnb, Google, and NVIDIA. Both founders possess the technical acumen and ambition necessary for implementing trustworthy AI in high-stakes environments.
